ACTION bus routes run from the various city centres past the National Portrait Gallery on a regular basis. Routes 1, 2, 3, and 80 on weekdays, and routes 934 and 935 on weekends and public holidays. For the latest bus timetable information please visit the ACTION buses website or Google Transit.
Those driving to the gallery are welcome to use our underground carpark. (Please check that page for fees and other access conditions near the main entry.

Getting There:
By Foot – Walking from the CBD (Queen St) head towards City Hall, cross over the road to King George Square then walk directly up Albert St. Hotel is located on the right hand side across the road.
By Train – Catch the train to Roma St Station then walk through the parklands to Spring Hill exit 5 on the right. You can also walk on the road up Roma St then turn left onto Albert St and the Hotel is at the top of the hill. You can also walk up Wickham Terrace from Central Station.
By Bus – From the CBD go to Queen Street Stop 57 near Edward St and catch the Spring Hill Loop bus that stops directly outside the hotel (stop 132) Buses stop at King George Square in the CBD – walk up Albert St to the Hotel at the top of the hill.
By Taxi – Taxis can stop directly outside the hotel.
By Car – 345 Wickham Terrace, Brisbane QLD 4000. Drive down the right hand side of the hotel to the car park underneath. Parking is available for $15 or alternative car parks are located on Wickham Terrace.

Public Transport
Ayers House is easily accessible by public transport. Timetables for Adelaide’s buses and trains can be obtained from Adelaide Metro

Conveniently located across North Terrace is a Taxi rank, for peak times especially on weekend evenings we recommend pre-booking Smart Cars or other transportation services.
